Technology Overview
Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) technology separates gas species under pressure according to their molecular characteristics and affinity for adsorbent materials. Operating at near-ambient temperatures, this process differs significantly from cryogenic distillation techniques.
The system uses specific adsorptive materials (zeolites, activated carbon, molecular sieves) that preferentially adsorb target gases at high pressure, then releases them when pressure is reduced. This cyclic process enables continuous hydrogen production.
